About our tuxedo and suit collection

National Tuxedo Rentals is an online formalwear shop, not a storefront chain. That is the whole reason the catalogue is this deep: more than 2,900 pieces in stock, with 1,683 ties and bow ties, 682 vests and cummerbunds, and 343 pocket squares, so a wedding party can match almost any color on the first try.

A complete package covers six pieces for the one price: jacket, pants, shirt, a vest or cummerbund, a tie or bow tie, and the studs and cufflinks, from $159. Shoes, a pocket square, socks, suspenders and a tie bar are optional add-ons at a discount. If you already own part of the outfit, rent only what you need: jackets from $74, vests from $24, neckwear from $6, and shoes from $30.

Fit, without a tailor

Jackets run from boys sizes up to 70L, pants to a 80 waist, shirts to 7XL and shoes to size 20, so a groomsman who has never found a coat that fits usually can here. See the big and tall range for the full list. Pants carry adjustable waistbands that cover two to three inches, which takes the pressure off getting a measurement exactly right. Read the sizing and measuring guide before you order, and if you would rather see a garment in person first, the free 3-day home trial sends one to try on with nothing to pay.

Matching a wedding color

Most of the work in a wedding order is matching a shade, not picking a style. Order five free fabric swatches and hold them against the dresses in daylight, because a color on a screen is not the color in a photograph. Once you know the shade, the shop by color pages show every vest, tie, bow tie and pocket square that comes in it.

Ordering for a group

For a wedding party, every person orders from his own address and everything arrives to the same deadline, whether the party is in one town or eight states. The groom's rental is free once five people in the party have paid. Fathers, ring bearers and junior groomsmen order the same way, with boys sizes from toddler up.

What it costs to rent

The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping is free both ways, the return label is already in the box, and there is no deposit and no store markup. Exchanges before your event are free too, which is why rentals ship about two weeks early rather than the week of. Prom groups, cruise passengers and black tie guests all order on the same terms, and how renting works walks through the whole thing step by step.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a tuxedo?
Complete packages run $159 to $199 and include six pieces for the one price: jacket, pants, shirt, vest or cummerbund, tie or bow tie, and the studs and cufflinks. Shoes, a pocket square, socks, suspenders and a tie bar are optional add-ons at a discount. Single pieces rent on their own too: neckwear from $6, cummerbunds from $14, vests from $24, shoes from $30. Shipping both ways is free.
What comes in a complete rental package?
Six pieces for the one price: jacket, pants, shirt, a vest or cummerbund, a tie or bow tie, and the studs and cufflinks. Shoes, a pocket square, socks, suspenders and a tie bar are optional and discounted when you add them. You can swap any included piece for a different color or style before you check out, and the prepaid return label is in the box.
When will my rental arrive?
Orders ship to arrive about 14 days before your event, so there is time to try everything on and exchange anything that does not fit. Return shipping is already paid and the label is in the box.
How do I get the sizing right without a store?
Enter your measurements with our sizing guide and we size the garments for you. If you would rather see it first, the free 3-day home trial sends a sample to try on, and exchanges before your event are free.
Can I rent just one piece?
Yes. Every category on this page rents on its own. Plenty of people already own a tuxedo and rent only a vest and tie to match a wedding party, or rent shoes because theirs are the wrong color.
Can I buy instead of rent?
Some items are sold rather than rented, including dress shoes from $115. Everything else on this page is a rental.
How do I match a specific wedding color?
Order five free fabric swatches and compare them against the dresses in daylight before you book. Swatches are free and they ship on their own, ahead of the rental.
