The rules that govern your use of NationalTuxedoRentals.com and your rental agreement with us. Please read them carefully. By using this site or renting from us, you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
The following are the rules and “Terms” that govern your use of this site and the services offered to you on this site. By using this site you agree to be bound by and to follow these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations governing this site. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this site. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, effective immediately upon posting on this site. National Tuxedo Rentals may change, suspend or discontinue all or any aspect of the services (the “Services”) offered to you on this site, including the availability of any feature, database, or Content (collectively, “Content”), without prior notice or liability. By using this site following any changes you agree to be bound by the Terms as changed.
This Rental Agreement sets forth all the terms and conditions of your rental of products from NationalTuxedoRentals.com through our website and/or direct ordering by telephone or electronic mail.
Payment
Payment for all rentals is due in full upon placing an order. The fee for rented merchandise shall include: the rental fees, applicable taxes, damage waiver, shipping and handling and any other fees described in the order detailed on the checkout page. Placing an order means that you understand and authorize National Tuxedo Rentals to immediately charge your credit card for the total fees associated with your order.
Receipt of Order
It is your responsibility to immediately inspect and try on all of the items ordered upon delivery. If any garment does not fit or if you find any issues with your rental items, you must notify us within 2 calendar days (48 hours) of the package receipt (initial delivery). You agree that in order to notify us that you require a replacement item, you must use the online replacement form which can be found under the “My Account” tab at www.NationalTuxedoRentals.com.
Fit Guarantee / Exchange Policy
If you have an issue with sizing, you are entitled to one free replacement order as long as the request is submitted within 48 hours of initial delivery. All style changes are subject to a $15 processing fee. Requests made after 48 hours are still eligible for replacement items, but you will be responsible for any express shipping and processing fees required to deliver the new items before your event date. All exchange requests must be submitted through the online form; requests cannot be accepted by phone or live chat.
We provide free exchanges to ensure that every customer receives a proper fit. Our rental inventory includes a wide range of sizes and fits, and we will always work with you to get the closest fit possible through our exchange process.
In rare cases where a customer feels that none of our available sizing options meet their needs, or if the fit concerns require custom alterations that cannot be accommodated with rental garments, we will cancel the order and issue a refund once the items are returned. This policy ensures that all customers are covered by our Fit Guarantee while also recognizing the limits of what can be achieved with rental sizing compared to custom-tailored clothing.
Sizing Adjustments
You grant National Tuxedo Rentals permission to edit the sizes of rented attire as deemed necessary by our outfit specialists. Our outfit specialists utilize technology and expertise to make informed adjustments to sizes, ensuring a better fit for your rented attire. While we make every effort to ensure a perfect fit, variations in fit may occur based on individual body types and preferences. In the event that rented attire does not fit as expected, National Tuxedo Rentals offers free sizing replacements to ensure customer satisfaction. Please refer to our Fit Guarantee / Exchange Policy above for further details on the process.
Cancelling, Changing, or Postponing Your Order
Rental orders can be cancelled before shipment for a full refund, minus a $35 cancellation fee. Once the items are shipped, NationalTuxedoRentals.com does not guarantee refunds or credits for any reason, including (but not limited to) event cancellations, inclement weather, or other circumstances outside our control. This policy helps prevent fraud, keeps our prices low, and maintains the integrity of our service.
If you need to make any changes to your rental order, please contact us before the shipment of your items. If your items have shipped, you will need to wait until the items arrive to fill out the rental exchange form. Style change fees may apply after shipment.
If your event is postponed, you must purchase a rental extension to cover the additional time that your items will remain in your possession.
Our Commitment to Customer Care: While our official policy is as stated above, we understand that unexpected situations can happen. When possible, we may approve post-shipment cancellations as a courtesy. In these cases, refunds will be issued minus the standard cancellation fee ($35) and any costs already incurred, such as shipping, dry cleaning, and processing fees.
Delivery & Return
Delivery / Shipping: Rental orders over $139 that are placed at least 3 weeks before the event date will qualify for free standard shipping to arrive 10-14 days before the event. Rental orders over $75 pay a flat rate of $14.95 and receive free return shipping. Rental orders under $75 will pay $14.95 for delivery + $14.95 for return shipping. Orders placed within 3 weeks prior to the event date are subject to a flat-rate $50 rush fee and will arrive as soon as possible. This fee ensures that your items will arrive early to try on and covers any express shipping costs that your order may need. Once the package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, the delivery process is beyond our control, and we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by the shipping carrier. It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor the shipment status with the tracking information provided. If a shipment appears to be delayed, please notify us immediately for accommodations to be made. We ship only to a valid residence, office, or nationally recognized hotel address within the continental United States. We do not ship to PO Boxes or outside of the United States.
Return: All rental items are due back in transit within three (3) calendar days after the event/use date stated on your order. Any items unreturned by this date are subject to all applicable late fees and replacement costs as stated in this Tuxedo Rental Agreement. To return, we provide a pre-paid return shipping label with your order (if you lost your return label, please contact us immediately for a new one – it is your responsibility to have the garment(s) in transit back to our warehouse in the aforementioned time frame). Place all rental items that you received in the original shipping box, place the supplied return label over the original shipping label, and deliver to an authorized FedEx or UPS shipping site (whichever your package arrived) or arrange for a home pick-up within the time frame. You do not need to clean your items prior to returning them. We are not responsible for personal property accidentally or otherwise returned with the rental order.
If your tuxedo rental is being returned late, you are responsible for shipping your rental back to: National Tuxedo Rentals, 100 Ward Ave, Trenton, NJ 08609, using any shipping service you choose.

Lost or Stolen Packages
Proof of delivery. Every order ships with a tracked carrier (UPS or FedEx). An order is considered delivered when the carrier’s tracking marks it delivered to the address on your order, and that delivery confirmation is proof that we met our shipping obligation. It is your responsibility to monitor the tracking, to arrange for the package to be received at a secure location, and to bring it inside promptly once it arrives.
48-hour window to report a problem. Any issue with a delivery, including a package that tracking shows as delivered but that you did not receive, must be reported to us at info@nationaltuxedorentals.com within forty-eight (48) hours of the carrier’s delivery time. We cannot honor claims made after this window.
Delivered, with no issue reported in time. If tracking confirms the package was delivered and we are not notified of a problem within 48 hours of that delivery, we will not send a replacement. This includes a package that was delivered and then left unattended, for example outside a door, for more than 48 hours before it was reported missing or stolen. Once a package is confirmed delivered, we are not responsible for items that are lost or stolen because they were not secured or reported in time, and we will not send new items free of charge in that situation.
Carrier errors and delivery exceptions. If the carrier’s tracking shows a genuine delivery problem, such as a delivery exception, a package marked delivered to the wrong address, or a package lost in transit, we will correct the issue or send a replacement at no charge to you. These cases are resolved directly with the carrier, so please report them to us right away so we can open a claim on your behalf.
Delivered and then stolen. If a package is confirmed delivered and is then stolen, and you notify us within 48 hours of delivery, we may, at our discretion, send a replacement. To be considered, you must file a police report for the stolen package and email a copy of that report to info@nationaltuxedorentals.com along with your replacement request. Replacements in this situation are not guaranteed and depend on garment availability and the timing of your event.
Nothing in this section reduces your responsibility, stated elsewhere in this Agreement, to return every rental item on time. Items that are not returned remain subject to the applicable late fees and replacement costs.
Customer Alterations
You are permitted to make non-permanent alterations to the jacket or pant length at your convenience. However, reimbursement for alteration costs is only available if we provide prior authorization in advance of the alteration being done.
If authorized, we will reimburse you up to $35.00, provided that:
- You receive written confirmation from us stating we will cover the alteration cost,
- The service is completed before your event date,
- You provide a valid receipt, and
- You email us a copy of the receipt before your rental items are due to be returned per our return policy.
Please note: We will not reimburse for any alterations that were not approved in advance.
Fees
In addition to the cost of your rental, the following fees may also apply as detailed in this Rental Agreement. In the event you incur any additional fees, your payment card or account will automatically be charged.
Late Fees & Replacement Costs
A non-refundable Damage Waiver is included with all rentals that protects you from liability from reasonable-use damage of your tuxedo. This covers minor wear and tear that our garments may endure during your event such as broken buttons, broken zippers, minor tears or stains. If a rental item is destroyed beyond repair, the below replacement costs will apply. Any items damaged beyond repair, or that are not returned to National Tuxedo Rentals within 21 days of your event date (without making arrangements to return), will result in replacement/processing costs as listed below, which shall be billed on the payment card or associated payment method that was given at the time of order. You will not receive any refund or other payment after returning your items.

Unpaid Amounts, Collections & Legal Action
If any amount owed under this Agreement (including rental fees, late fees, damage, or replacement/processing costs) is not paid when due, and the payment method on file cannot be successfully charged, your account may be referred to a third-party collection agency and/or pursued through legal action. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to pay all costs of collection, including collection-agency fees, reasonable attorneys’ fees, and court costs. You authorize us, and any agency acting on our behalf, to contact you at the phone number(s), email, and mailing address you provided regarding amounts owed.
Free Groom Tuxedo Offer Terms
To be eligible for the Free Tuxedo Offer, you must be a groom with an event profile, created/registered on NationalTuxedoRentals.com, containing at least four paying members (renting complete tuxedos or suits). At least 4 members, who have been added to the event profile in addition to the groom, must check out and pay in full for a complete tuxedo or suit rental package on NationalTuxedoRentals.com at least 10 days before the event date. The free groom discount code may only be used by one (1) individual within the event profile, with their role selected as “groom” in the event profile. The free groom discount code will be equal to the amount of the majority tuxedo package of the group. If the groom/individual using the discount code chooses a higher-priced tuxedo compared to the majority of the group members, they will be responsible for paying any difference in price that the discount code does not cover. The discount code will cover a standard tuxedo or suit rental package (including a coat, pant, shirt, waist-wear option, neckwear option, studs & cufflinks). Additional upgrades, including but not limited to suspenders, shoes, pocket square, and slim-fit/skinny-fit upgrades, are not included in the free tuxedo offer. A Damage Waiver is automatically applied to all rental orders at checkout and will not be covered by the free tuxedo discount code. The free groom discount code cannot be used on “RUSH” orders (orders placed within 3 weeks of the event date).
Abuse of Free Tuxedo Code: If the event profile does not meet the above criteria and/or the required four (4) members within the group profile have not rented and paid for a complete tuxedo or suit package by 10 days prior to the event date, the card used in conjunction with the free groom discount code will be charged for the value of the code used. If more than one individual within the group profile uses the discount code at checkout, the card will be charged for the value of the code used. The free groom code may not be used on “rush” orders (orders placed within 3 weeks of the event date).
Trial Orders & Free Swatch Terms
National Tuxedo Rentals offers early trial rentals and free swatch requests as a courtesy to help customers prepare for their events with confidence. However, to maintain fairness and prevent misuse, we reserve the right to monitor and review all trial and swatch orders.
We reserve the right to cancel or deny any early trial rental or free swatch request at our sole discretion, without explanation. This includes, but is not limited to, instances where we suspect abuse of the offer, such as:
- Submitting multiple trial orders for the same individual or event using variations of names, email addresses, or event dates.
- Attempting to receive more than one trial for the same outfit or style.
- Repeated swatch requests from the same customer or household intended to circumvent order limits.
These offers are provided in good faith for genuine customer use only. Abuse of these offers may result in order cancellation and restriction from future promotional programs. Trial rental items remain subject to the same return, late-fee, and replacement-cost terms as all other rentals described in this Agreement.
Purchase Returns
If you purchased an item and it is unused and in original condition, you may be eligible for a refund if it is returned within 30 days of delivery and before your listed Event Date. To begin a return, please contact us to request a Return Authorization. Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted. Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of delivery and before your Event Date. Once received and inspected by our return department, a refund will be issued for the full purchase price, minus shipping charges. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item sent or manufacturing defect).
If you would like to exchange your purchased item for a different size, we recommend ordering a new item once your return is initiated and/or processed.
Website Use
Except as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions of Website Use, neither any part of this website nor any content located herein may be reproduced in any form, copied, republished, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, reproduced, translated, transmitted or distributed in any form to any computer, server, website, or other electronic or other device for purposes of publication or dissemination without written consent executed by the legal department of NationalTuxedoRentals.com. You agree you may not pursue any course of action with the purpose of gaining unauthorized access to the website in any form or by any method whatsoever. You agree not to interfere with the function of the website, or any systems or networks connected to the website. You agree that you will not disguise any communication or access the site using a fictitious identity. You agree that NationalTuxedoRentals.com has the right at any time, and without notification, to terminate your access to the website or otherwise interrupt service to the website as necessary or convenient.
Limited Liability
The full extent of NationalTuxedoRentals.com’s liability or warranty to you is governed by this website Customer Terms of Use Agreement.

All materials and content included on this site (including, without limitation, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips and software) are the property of National Tuxedo Rentals, its content suppliers or the parties indicated, and are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. The collection, arrangement and assembly of all Content on this site is the exclusive property of National Tuxedo Rentals and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. All software used on this site is the property of National Tuxedo Rentals, or its software suppliers, and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. The Content and software on this site may be used solely as provided in these Terms. Any other use of the Content on this site is strictly prohibited.
Trademarks
National Tuxedo Rentals, and other National Tuxedo Rentals graphics, logos and service names are trademarks of National Tuxedo Rentals. All other marks contained on this site are the sole property of the parties indicated.
Procedure for Making Claims of Copyright Infringement
National Tuxedo Rentals and its affiliates respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please e-mail or write us with your complaint and include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (2) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it; and (3) information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an e-mail address. License & Site Access
National Tuxedo Rentals owns this site. Within this site and these Terms, when we say “National Tuxedo,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean National Tuxedo Rentals. No material from this site may be sold, copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, displayed, posted, transmitted, distributed, modified, publicly performed, used in any derivative works based thereon or otherwise used for any public or commercial purpose without the prior written consent of National Tuxedo or, where applicable, our licensors. National Tuxedo grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not download (other than page caching) or modify it without express written consent of National Tuxedo. Changing the Content or using the Content on this site in any other way is a violation of our rights.
Prohibited Conduct
Within this site, you are not allowed to distribute (by whatever means) materials that are libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or that we otherwise deem distasteful or objectionable. Except as expressly provided in signed services agreements between you and National Tuxedo, you are not allowed to use this site or any of our services in any commercial manner. We reserve the right to refuse service to you or terminate your account if we, in our sole discretion, believe that your conduct violates these Terms, applicable law, or is harmful to our interests or the interests of our affiliates and partners.
Use of Comments & Submissions
All submissions submitted or offered to National Tuxedo on or by this Site (collectively, “Comments”) shall be and remain the property of National Tuxedo and the sponsors of relevant promotions. Such submissions constitute an assignment to National Tuxedo or the sponsors of all worldwide rights, titles and interests in all copyrights and other intellectual properties in the Comments. National Tuxedo or the Sponsors will own exclusively all such rights and shall not be limited in any way in its use, commercial or otherwise, of any Comments. Neither National Tuxedo nor the Sponsors shall be under any obligation to (1) maintain submitted Comments in confidence; (2) pay any compensation for any Comments; or (3) respond to any Comments. You agree and warrant that Comments submitted by you do not violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary right(s), and do not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive, obscene or pornographic material. Governing Law & Disputes
Unless otherwise specified, the materials on this site are presented solely for the purposes of marketing National Tuxedo and its services. We control and operate this site from our offices in Trenton, New Jersey, U.S.A. We make no claims that our content is appropriate for use outside of the United States. If you choose to use this site from outside of the United States, you are solely responsible for compliance with your local laws.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Content on our site is provided “AS IS” and without warranties of any kind either expressed or implied. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold National Tuxedo and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers and licensors (collectively, the “National Tuxedo Parties”) harmless from and against any and all claims, liability, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) incurred by any National Tuxedo Party in connection with any use or alleged use of the Service under your password by any person, whether or not authorized by you. National Tuxedo reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and in such case, you agree to cooperate with National Tuxedo’s defense of such claim.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall National Tuxedo be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site, even if National Tuxedo or a National Tuxedo authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. In no event shall National Tuxedo’s total liability to you for all damages, losses and causes of action (whether in contract, tort (including, but not limited to, negligence), or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing this site.
Changes & Acceptance of These Terms
By using this site and areas of other sites maintained by National Tuxedo, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these policies, please do not use our site. Your continued use of the site following the posting of changes to these Terms will mean you accept those changes.
